During the subsequent negotiations, Furuya Rei never caught a glimpse of Hiroki Sawada, nor could Public Security's intelligence network find any trace of his current residence in the CIA's sphere of influence. Snapping back to reality, Furuya Rei watched Thomas Schindler chatting and laughing nearby. "It seems he has been hidden away. That child must have some extraordinary trait, then," Furuya Rei thought to himself, but unfortunately, time was running out. A month later, the partnership was finally finalized. Because Thomas Schindler had dealings with American political circles and certain matters were off-limits for investigation, Furuya Rei remained completely in the dark regarding Hiroki Sawada's whereabouts. Yuya Kazami, however, managed to dig up some of Hiroki Sawada's past, shedding a glimmer of light on the situation. Furuya Rei sent a vague message to Rum to stall for time. Boarding the plane, Furuya Rei was still replaying the veiled hints he had pried out of Vermouth over the past month. As long as Whiskey wasn't mentioned, Vermouth would always let slip a bit of information. "Why does Vermouth hate Whiskey so much?" This was the part Furuya Rei couldn't understand. Calculating based on age and location, where could the intersections between Vermouth and Whiskey possibly be? "It seems I still have to find Whiskey."
