"Bourbon! You purposely gave me this assignment!" Chianti complained bitterly. "It's just for operational needs, and it happens to suit you." Furuya Rei then sent a few more tedious, time-consuming tasks to Chianti. "I'm going to report you to Gin! Bourbon, you're just picking a fight out of spite and revenge!" Korn couldn't bear to watch any longer and pulled Chianti away. "Korn!" Meanwhile, Gin, who had been handling things on Glenlivet's behalf, had been holed up in the base for four days without stepping outside. He was so irritated he was on the verge of erupting like a volcano. If Chianti really came in to make a report, Gin would consider it pure annoyance, and her not catching a bullet right now was proof of his currently improved temper. Unable to take it anymore, Gin dialed Glenlivet's number. "Gin?" "I burned all the documents." Hearing a pause on Glenlivet's end, Gin continued, "I can't leave the hospital just yet. Have Bourbon handle some of this." "What about the pursuit of the defector?" "Let Rum's side handle it. Chianti is a pass; have Korn step in, and I'll deal with Pisco." After hanging up, Furuya Rei pushed the door open just in time. The moment he stepped inside, he saw Gin looking as though his very life force had been sucked dry by the paperwork, and he almost laughed out loud.
