It was difficult to see clearly through the wall. Li Li stood up instinctively, peering out with her backside sticking out. The sky, washed clean by a torrential downpour, was a deep, brilliant blue. The sun, just beginning to peek over the horizon by the sea, cast its soft, golden light entirely over Shang Che. The man was still wearing yesterday’s clothes. The thin shirt clung to his frame, revealing the faint outline of his abdominal muscles, which rose and fell with his breathing. His long, straight legs were draped carelessly over the steps. His face, usually so relaxed and defiant, looked much more profound in sleep, his long eyelashes veiling his narrow, sharp eyes and softening his typically angular features.
