The entire Olive Branch Republic began to enter the global spotlight. After a month of review and debate, delegations from five regions deliberated on more than a dozen issues, including the national flag, national emblem, national anthem, as well as the constitution, criminal law, and civil law.
This conference was an unprecedented success, and it was also the first representative meeting organized by Yang Xi in his capacity as the first president of the Olive Branch Republic.
The design of the national flag was ingenious: three green olive branches rose from two open palms against a blue field symbolizing the sky. The palms represented aspirations, while the olive branches stood for peace, signifying that the entire Olive Branch Republic was a symbol of peace beneath the blue sky.
