These pirates seemed completely relaxed and devoid of any guard. Perhaps they had conducted transactions here many times before, believing this secluded island to be completely safe without any need to worry about danger. They had not even set up the most basic sentries. Such arrogance and negligence made Yang Xi count his blessings, giving him even greater confidence to wipe them out in one fell swoop. The dark-skinned, burly men made it hard to tell their original skin color at first glance, but Yang Xi could instantly see that they were actually white men. These pirates had engaged in maritime looting year-round, weathering the sea breeze and harsh sun until their skin had gradually turned from white to a dark, weathered bronze.
