After some discussion, the ten major families of traditional Chinese medicine each selected ten disciples, led by an elder from their respective families, to go to the Secular World to assist Chen Xuan. Meanwhile, the four great traditional Chinese medicine sects each sent thirty disciples, led by their vice sect masters or elders. In total, 234 practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine followed Chen Xuan back to the Secular World.
After some simple preparations, Chen Xuan bid farewell to Lianshan Cangshu and left Shennong Valley with the 234 people. However, instead of taking them straight back to Yundong Province, he first brought them to the Imperial Hospital in the capital, where Hua Changpu and the council formed after the Medical Conference could handle their distribution. Eventually, these 234 practitioners would be assigned to various traditional Chinese medicine hospitals and colleges across the country, as well as to various TCM clinics founded abroad, including the branch of Baozhi Hall in Europe.
Chen Xuan did not need to worry about personnel assignments; Hua Changpu and Professor Mo were responsible for that. Throughout the entire project to revitalize traditional Chinese medicine, Chen Xuan only needed to make major strategic decisions and supervise the implementation. If he had to handle every minor detail himself, he would be even busier than Feng Yue, the most popular female star in China.
