In the Nichen Realm, a barren land, Wang Lin walked alone. His gaze was deep and calm; having lived for three thousand years, he had long since weathered countless storms.
With his cultivation already reaching the God-King Immortal Realm, he looked like an ordinary explorer at this moment. Wang Lin was dressed in a Black Robe, the hem of his garment fluttering in the wind, when his eyes were suddenly drawn by a faint glimmer of light.
The glimmer came from beneath the ground, faintly exuding a mysterious aura. Wang Lin squatted down, gently brushed away the dust, and an ancient compass appeared before his eyes—the Boundary-Fixing Compass.
Wang Lin's heart stirred; this Boundary-Fixing Compass was legendary as an invincible supreme treasure of the universe. He slowly reached out his hand and touched the compass. In an instant, a powerful force surged up, and his consciousness felt as though it had been sucked into a whirlpool.
When he regained clarity, he found himself in a bizarre dream space, which turned out to be none other than the Xiangang Continent.
Knowing full well that the power of the Boundary-Fixing Compass was not to be underestimated, Wang Lin decided to first explore this dream space of the Xiangang Continent formed by the compass.
He began to walk across this continent, the surrounding scenery appearing half-real and half-illusory.
Meanwhile, at the Wang Family Estate on Suzaku Planet, Wang Lin's parents were drinking tea in the courtyard. The elderly couple's cultivation had reached the Batian Realm, radiating majesty yet brimming with affection.
Wang Yiyi was darting back and forth around the courtyard like a little butterfly, continuously chattering: "Grandfather, Grandmother, when is Daddy coming back?"
Wang Lin's wife, Li Muwan, walked out from the house. Tucking a stray lock of hair behind her ear, she said gently: "Yiyi, your father must have some important matter to attend to, he'll be back very soon."
Li Muwan was dressed in a white robe, resembling a lotus fairy. A trace of worry flickered in her eyes, for after all, every time Wang Lin went out, it was filled with the unknown.
Wang Lin continued his exploration on the Xiangang Continent, discovering that this place was vastly different from the realms he had experienced before.
Here, there were unique spiritual energy fluctuations and numerous unknown dangers. As he proceeded with caution, he pondered the connection between this place and the Nichen Realm.
Back at the Wang family home on Suzaku Planet, while playing in the courtyard, Wang Yiyi accidentally tripped and let out a wail, bursting into tears.
Li Muwan hurried over, scooped Yiyi up into her arms, and coaxed her softly: "There, there, Yiyi be good, don't cry, don't cry. Where did you hurt yourself?"
Sobbing, Yiyi said: "Mother, my knee hurts."
Li Muwan gently blew on Yiyi's knee and cast a healing spell, causing the wound to heal almost instantly.
In a valley on the Xiangang Continent, Wang Lin discovered some strange herbs. A thought stirred in his heart; these herbs might prove useful for his family's cultivation.
Just as he was about to gather them, he suddenly sensed a dangerous aura. Raising his head, he saw a group of cultivators flying toward him.
"Who are you? How dare you trespass and run amok in our Kunxu Star Field's territory!" the lead cultivator shouted loudly.
Wang Lin frowned; he didn't want to stir up trouble, but neither was he afraid of it. Calmly, he said: "I am merely a passing cultivator, with no intention of causing offense."
"Hmph! Passing by? I reckon you're here to steal our precious herbs!" the cultivator pressed relentlessly.
Wang Lin's gaze turned icy as he said: "I will say this once more: I am merely passing through. If you insist on looking for trouble, don't blame me for being discourteous."
The cultivators of the Kunxu Star Field burst out laughing: "Discourteous? Just based on you? Do you even know the might of our Kunxu Star Field!"
Without wasting another word, Wang Lin directly cast a binding spell, instantly immobilizing all of those cultivators.
Coldly, Wang Lin said: "I had no wish to resort to force, but you lot simply don't know what is good for you."
Terror gripped the hearts of those cultivators, who never imagined that Wang Lin would be so immensely powerful.
Wang Lin lifted the binding spell, and the cultivators dropped to their knees one after another, begging for mercy: "Senior, we were blind and failed to recognize Mount Tai. Please spare us and forgive our transgression."
Glancing at them, Wang Lin said: "Get up. Don't be so reckless in the future."
The cultivators rose to their feet, and one of them cautiously said: "Senior, since you are so powerful, our Kunxu Star Field is willing to submit to you."
Wang Lin's heart stirred at this; he reflected that if he could bring these star fields into submission, it would also be a good thing for Suzaku Planet.
"Very well, then you shall follow me," he said.
With the power of the Boundary-Fixing Compass, Wang Lin led the cultivators of the Kunxu Star Field back to the Nichen Realm.
At that moment, beside a spiritual spring in the Nichen Realm, Wang Lin's parents and Li Muwan were out strolling with Wang Yiyi.
Catching sight of the spiritual spring, Wang Yiyi ran over in excitement and began playing around the edge of the water.
Discovering that the spiritual spring possessed strange spiritual energy fluctuations, Wang Lin's parents were just about to examine it closely.
Suddenly, Wang Yiyi accidentally tumbled into the spiritual spring. "Yiyi!" Li Muwan cried out in panic.
Arriving just in time, Wang Lin didn't hesitate for a second as he leaped into the spiritual spring and pulled Yiyi to safety.
Soaking wet, Yiyi clung tightly to Wang Lin and sobbed: "Daddy, I was so scared."
Gently patting Yiyi's back, Wang Lin said: "There's nothing to fear, Yiyi, Daddy is right here."
Li Muwan walked over, took Yiyi into her arms, and said with a heart full of anguish: "It's all Mother's fault for not watching you properly."
Wang Lin looked at Li Muwan, his eyes brimming with love. "Wan'er," he said, "you can't blame yourself for this; Yiyi is simply too mischievous."
Lifting her gaze to meet Wang Lin's, Li Muwan locked eyes with him, and it was as if everything around them had vanished.
Gently taking Li Muwan's hand, Wang Lin said: "Wan'er, it's been so long, I've missed you."
A faint blush crept across Li Muwan's cheeks as she chided him: "Who missed you? The moment you go out, you stay away for ages."
The corners of Wang Lin's mouth curled up into a domineering smile.
Pulling Li Muwan close to his side, he wrapped his arms tightly around her and said: "Wan'er, you're just putting up a front. In your heart, you must have missed me to distraction."
Li Muwan struggled slightly, but could not break free. A trace of shyness showed in her eyes as she said: "You bad man, you only ever bully me."
Lowering his gaze to look into Li Muwan's eyes, Wang Lin said: "Wan'er, I just love bullying you. What are you going to do about it?"
Her heart pounding faster, Li Muwan felt her face grow even hotter. Biting her lip, she said: "If you keep this up, I'm going to get mad."
Wang Lin chuckled. Gently stroking Li Muwan's hair, he said: "Wan'er, even when you're angry, you look adorable."
Lifting her head, Li Muwan suddenly leaned in and planted a proactive kiss on Wang Lin's cheek.
Stunned for a moment, Wang Lin snapped back to reality, pulled Li Muwan tightly against him, and deepened the kiss.
His kiss was fiercely possessive, as though he wanted to melt Li Muwan into his very body. Li Muwan responded with equal fervor, her hands grasping tightly at Wang Lin's clothes.
When the kiss finally ended, Li Muwan's breathing was somewhat ragged. Looking at her, Wang Lin's eyes were filled with affection and desire.
Gently stroking Li Muwan's cheek, he said: "Wan'er, you are mine, forever and always."
Li Muwan gave a gentle nod and whispered: "Mm, Senior Brother, I am yours forever."
Seeing this scene, Wang Lin's parents exchanged a smile.
Wang Lin's father remarked: "These two children, their affection for each other is still as strong as ever."
Wang Lin's mother added: "Indeed. Seeing them like this sets our minds at ease."
Once he and Li Muwan parted, Wang Lin looked toward the cultivators from the Kunxu Star Field and said: "These are my family. From now on, you must obey their commands as well."
The cultivators nodded repeatedly. "Understood, Senior," they chorused.
As Wang Lin's parents absorbed the spiritual energy of the spring, their cultivation levels began to steadily rise. Watching his parents, Wang Lin felt a deep sense of gratification.
Wang Lin then led his family to continue their exploration of the Nichen Realm. They arrived at the Luotian Star Field, which held many ancient ruins.
Within one of the ruins, Wang Lin discovered a tattered cultivation manual.
He brought the manual over for his parents to see and said: "Father, Mother, this manual might be of some help to us."
Wang Lin's father took the manual, examined it, and said: "Mm, though tattered, this manual contains a unique power."
Wang Lin suggested: "Then let us cultivate it together."
Thus, Wang Lin shared the cultivation manual with his parents, and they practiced it as a family. In the course of their cultivation, the bonds between them grew even stronger.
Watching from the side, Wang Yiyi decided she wanted to cultivate as well. With a smile, Wang Lin said: "Yiyi, you're still too young. Wait until you're older to cultivate this."
Pouting her lips, Yiyi protested: "Daddy, I'm already very strong. I want to cultivate too."
Li Muwan walked over, picked Yiyi up in her arms, and said: "Be a good girl, Yiyi. When you grow a little older, Mother will teach you an even better cultivation method."
Right at that moment, the cultivators of the Zhaohe Star Field learned of Wang Lin's great renown and took the initiative to come and pledge their allegiance.
The leader of the Zhaohe Star Field declared: "Senior, having heard of your legendary deeds, we hold the utmost admiration for you. Our Zhaohe Star Field is willing to submit to you."
Nodding, Wang Lin said: "Very well, you are welcome."
Continuing forward with his family, Wang Lin arrived at the Yunhai Star Field.
In the Yunhai Star Field lay an isolated island, upon which Wang Lin discovered a hidden spiritual herb garden.
Within the spiritual herb garden, various rare herbs radiated enchanting glows.
Seeing so many spiritual herbs, Wang Yiyi scampered excitedly back and forth through the garden, chasing butterflies and letting out silver-bell-like laughter.
Watching Yiyi's joyful appearance, Wang Lin felt happiness bloom in his heart as well. He began gathering the spiritual herbs, with Li Muwan assisting him close by.
"Senior Brother," Li Muwan said, "these spiritual herbs are all of very high quality. We'll be able to refine many pills to boost our cultivation."
"Indeed," Wang Lin replied. "Wan'er, your alchemy skills will certainly come to great use."
Taking the harvested spiritual herbs, Wang Lin and Li Muwan retreated into a mountain cave. Li Muwan set about arranging an alchemy formation, her movements practiced and elegant.
Watching Li Muwan from the side, Wang Lin's eyes were filled with tenderness. "Wan'er," he said, "you look so beautiful when you're focused."
Shooting him a sidelong glance, Li Muwan retorted: "All you know is how to whisper sweet nothings."
With a chuckle, Wang Lin walked over to Li Muwan, wrapped his arms gently around her, and said: "Wan'er, every word I spoke was true."
Giving him a gentle shove, Li Muwan said: "Stop messing around, I need to refine alchemy."
Releasing her from his embrace, Wang Lin said: "Alright, I'll just watch you from the side."
Li Muwan commenced the alchemy process, channeling a continuous stream of spiritual power into the cauldron. After a period of refinement, the medicinal pills were finally successfully produced.
Taking out the pills, Li Muwan said: "Senior Brother, these pills can be given to our family to advance their cultivation."
Accepting the pills, Wang Lin said: "You've worked hard, Wan'er."
Wang Lin distributed the pills to his family, and after ingesting them, everyone experienced a boost in their cultivation levels.
That night, Wang Lin and his family sat beneath the starry sky of the star field. Wang Lin began to recount the mysteries of the Nichen Realm.
"Father, Mother, Wan'er, Yiyi," Wang Lin said, "this Nichen Realm holds endless secrets, and we must explore them step by step."
Wang Lin's father said: "Mm, Tiezhu, we trust you."
Wang Lin's mother chimed in: "That's right, as long as our family is together, we have nothing to fear."
Snuggling into Li Muwan's embrace, Wang Yiyi declared: "Daddy, when I grow up, I want to be just as powerful as you."
With a smile, Wang Lin said: "Yiyi, you certainly will be."
Beneath the starry canopy, the family relished this warm and tender moment.
Continuing his exploration of the Nichen Realm with his family, Wang Lin brought them to a cavern where he discovered an ancient formation.
"This formation looks rather complex," Wang Lin remarked. "Can you crack it, Wan'er?"
Observing it carefully for a moment, Li Muwan said: "Senior Brother, let me try."
As Li Muwan set to work dismantling the formation, beads of sweat dotted her brow, but her gaze remained utterly focused. Following a burst of effort, she finally succeeded in breaking the formation.
A spiritual treasure capable of enhancing cultivation materialized within the formation. Picking it up, Wang Lin said: "Wan'er, you really are amazing."
With a soft smile, Li Muwan replied: "This is thanks to you as well, Senior Brother."
Wang Lin's parents constructed a cultivation tent beside a spiritual vein in the star field.
Entering the tent together, the family began their practice right there.
In this place brimming with spiritual energy, their cultivation levels steadily advanced.
Watching his family's steady progress, Wang Lin's heart swelled with hope.
As long as the family worked together with one heart, they would surely be able to incorporate the four major star fields of the Nichen Realm into the territory of Suzaku Planet.
Inside the tent by the spiritual vein, where the family was cultivating, a faint mist of spiritual light hung in the air.
Wang Lin's parents sat cross-legged with their eyes closed, serene expressions resting on their faces as their breathing remained steady and profound.
Meanwhile, Wang Lin and Li Muwan guided Wang Yiyi through some foundational breathing and absorption techniques.
Gently taking Yiyi's tiny hand in his, Wang Lin adjusted her posture and said softly: "Yiyi, your hands must be placed like this so the vital energy can circulate smoothly."
Blinking her large eyes, Yiyi nodded obediently: "Daddy, I understand."
Standing off to the side, Li Muwan watched the scene with a smile, her gaze as gentle as water.
Suddenly, a commotion erupted outside. Frowning, Wang Lin stood up and stepped out of the tent.
A group of cultivators dressed in bizarre attire were striding toward their camp. The lead cultivator shouted loudly: "This place is our spiritual vein territory! How dare you outsiders practice cultivation here!"
Maintaining a calm expression, Wang Lin stepped forward and said: "Fellow Daoists, the Nichen Realm is naturally filled with opportunities, and this spiritual vein does not belong exclusively to any of you. Our practicing here is simply a matter of fate."
Snorting coldly, the lead cultivator sneered: "Hmph, slick-tongued rhetoric. If you know what's good for you, get out of here immediately."
Wang Lin's father also emerged from the tent. Casting a majestic gaze upon the cultivators, he slowly said: "Young men, do not be so arrogant. My son Wang Lin had no wish to pick a fight with you, but do not push your luck."
Upon seeing Wang Lin's father, the cultivator showed not an ounce of fear. "Old man, just what do you think you are, speaking to me in such a tone?"
Wang Lin's eyes turned cold as a powerful wave of pressure emanated from him: "How dare you show disrespect to my father!"
Struck by a crushing weight, the cultivator felt his legs turn somewhat weak, yet he stubbornly forced himself to stand firm. "And what if I did?"
At that moment, a nearby cultivator tugged at his sleeve and muttered in a low voice: "Senior Brother, this person's aura is immensely powerful, we probably shouldn't cross him."
Though a drum of unease beat in the lead cultivator's heart, he kept up a brave front: "So what if he is? There are more of us."
Wang Lin's mother stepped out as well. Surveying the cultivators, she gave a gentle shake of her head. "A bunch of children who know neither the height of the heavens nor the depth of the earth." She then turned to Wang Lin and said: "Tiezhu, don't take their lives; teaching them a lesson will suffice."
Nodding in acknowledgment, Wang Lin addressed the cultivators: "I have no desire for a massacre today. If you leave now, there is still time."
The lead cultivator hesitated, but still insisted: "Making us leave won't be that easy."
With a sigh, Wang Lin flickered out of sight, reappearing instantly in front of the lead cultivator, and gave a casual wave of his hand.
Like a kite with a broken string, the cultivator was sent flying backward, crashing heavily onto the ground.
Seeing this, the remaining cultivators drew their swords and charged at Wang Lin.
Unflustered, Wang Lin rapidly formed hand seals, sending out ropes forged of spiritual energy that bound the rushing cultivators tightly.
Despite their frantic struggles, the cultivators found themselves entirely unable to break free.
Scrambling up from the ground, the lead cultivator stared at Wang Lin in terror: "Just what kind of person are you?"
"Who I am matters not," Wang Lin said indifferently. "What matters is whether you realize your mistake now."
Gritting his teeth, the cultivator spat: "I'll remember the grudge of today."
Frowning, Wang Lin said: "It seems you still refuse to repent." With that, a tongue of flame materialized in his palm, dancing before the cultivators' eyes.
Feeling the searing heat of the flames, the cultivators turned ashen-faced with fright. The lead cultivator hastily cried out: "Senior, spare us! We know our mistake."
Recalling the flame, Wang Lin said: "Since you know your mistake, begone."
As if granted a pardon from heaven, the cultivators scrambled away in a flurry of panic.
Returning to the tent, Wang Lin was greeted by Wang Yiyi, who ran over and hugged his leg: "Daddy is so amazing."
With a smile, Wang Lin stroked her head: "Be a good girl, Yiyi."
Li Muwan spoke up: "Senior Brother, I feel this place is no longer suitable for a long stay. We should move elsewhere."
Nodding in agreement, Wang Lin said: "Wan'er is right. Let's pack up and set off."
After packing their belongings, the family ventured deeper into the Nichen Realm. Along the way, the scenery shifted constantly.
They passed through a valley blanketed in exotic flowers and plants, which shimmered with five-colored radiance and emitted a captivating fragrance.
Excitedly, Wang Yiyi ran over, wanting to pick one, but Wang Lin hurriedly pulled her back: "Yiyi, these flowers and plants may look beautiful, but they could harbor hidden dangers."
Stopping in her tracks with a disappointed look, Wang Yiyi said: "Daddy, but they're so pretty."
Wang Lin's mother squatted down, pointed at a flower, and said: "Look at this flower, Yiyi. The edges of its petals have tiny thorns, and those thorns might be poisonous."
Curiously, Yiyi leaned in closer for a look: "Grandmother, I had no idea they were so dangerous."
Continuing their journey, they arrived before a wide river. The river water possessed a deep blue hue, shimmering under the light, but the current was fiercely rapid.
As Wang Lin gazed at the river, pondering how to cross, Li Muwan said: "Senior Brother, this river water looks unusual, we shouldn't enter it rashly."
Nodding in agreement, Wang Lin's father said: "Indeed, we need to think of a way."
Just then, Wang Lin spotted a massive tree on the opposite bank with vines hanging from its branches. His eyes lit up: "We can use those vines to swing across."
Channeling his spiritual power, Wang Lin flew toward the vines on the far side of the river. Grabbing hold of one, he tested its sturdiness before shouting back to his family: "I'll secure the vine first, then you all can come over."
Fasting the vine securely to a tree on their side, Wang Lin pulled his family across one by one.
Having crossed the river, they entered an ancient forest. The trees within were towering and thick, their trunks carved with ancient runes.
Curiously, Wang Lin approached a massive tree and examined the runes carved into its trunk closely.
From the side, Li Muwan remarked: "These runes look like some sort of ancient formation."
Nodding, Wang Lin said: "Mm, Wan'er, you have deep expertise in formations. Can you tell what kind of formation this is?"
After studying them carefully for a moment, Li Muwan said: "It looks like a defensive formation, but I'll need to examine it further for specifics."
Just as they were studying the runes, a dense fog suddenly rolled through the forest, growing thicker by the second until it quickly enveloped them all.
Raising his guard, Wang Lin pulled his family behind him: "Everyone be careful, this fog is suspicious."
Suddenly, eerie laughter echoed from within the mist: "Outsiders, you have stumbled into a place where you do not belong."
Wang Lin shouted loudly: "Who goes there? Why hide your face?"
The voice rang out once more: "Who I am is unimportant; what matters is that you will all die here today."
Wang Lin's father scoffed: "Hmph, mere rats hiding in the shadows, what skills do you really have?"
With a cold huff from the voice, numerous dark shadows materialized within the fog and lunged at them.
Forming hand seals, Wang Lin erected a spiritual energy shield around them.
The shadowy figures crashed against the shield, emitting a sizzling sound upon impact.
Turning to Li Muwan, Wang Lin said: "Wan'er, see if you can break the formation sustaining this fog."
Nodding, Li Muwan began to closely observe the surrounding runes and the flow of the mist.
Meanwhile, Wang Lin continuously poured spiritual power into the shield to fend off the attacks of the dark shadows. As the shadows multiplied, the shield began to wobble slightly.
Frightened, Wang Yiyi hugged Li Muwan tightly: "Mother, I'm scared."
Gently patting her back, Li Muwan comforted her: "There's nothing to fear, Yiyi, Daddy and your grandparents will protect us."
Wang Lin's mother chimed in with reassurance: "Be a good girl, Yiyi, Grandmother is right here."
Suddenly, a light sparked in Li Muwan's eyes: "Senior Brother, I've found the method to crack it!"
Hasty and urgent, Wang Lin said: "Quickly cast it, Wan'er!"
Forming hand seals at rapid speed, Li Muwan chanted an incantation under her breath.
A beam of light shot forth from her hands, piercing toward a specific direction within the thick fog.
Wherever the light reached, the fog began to dissipate, and the shadowy figures vanished along with it.
As the fog cleared away, a cultivator clad in a Black Robe stood revealed before them.
Glowering at them with a gloomy expression, the cultivator said: "I never expected you to break my formation."
Looking at him, Wang Lin demanded: "Why did you attack us?"
The Black-Robed cultivator replied: "This forest is my territory. You trespassed without permission, so punishment is only natural."
Wang Lin's father stated: "This Nichen Realm is a land brimming with opportunity; how can it ever be called your personal territory?"
Driven to anger by embarrassment, the Black-Robed cultivator snapped: "What do you outsiders know?"
Wang Lin said: "We had no intention of making an enemy of you, we were merely passing through."
Pondering for a moment, the Black-Robed cultivator sneered: "Hmph, if you want to leave, hand over half the treasures on your bodies."
With a cold laugh, Wang Lin said: "Don't push your luck, Your Excellency."
The Black-Robed cultivator retorted: "Pushing my luck? This is already my utmost tolerance."
Wang Lin declared: "Then it seems we have no choice but to use force."
With a wave of the Black-Robed cultivator's hands, the surrounding trees began to sway, their branches reaching out like arms toward the group.
Dodgeing the branch attacks with a flash, Wang Lin charged straight at the Black-Robed cultivator. The two engaged in a fierce battle mid-air.
The cultivator's spiritual power carried a dark aura, and his strikes were exceptionally fierce.
Relying on his formidable spiritual power and agile movements, Wang Lin met the challenge head-on.
Watching nervously from the sidelines, Wang Yiyi cheered: "Daddy, go for it!"
Hearing Yiyi's encouragement, Wang Lin's strength surged even higher. Spotting an opening, he landed a punch squarely on the Black-Robed cultivator's chest.
Sent flying backward from the blow, the Black-Robed cultivator crashed heavily against a tree.
Clutching his chest, the Black-Robed cultivator stared at Wang Lin in horror: "Just who are you?"
Wang Lin stated: "I am Wang Lin. If you dare try to block us again today, don't blame me for being discourteous."
Hesitating for a moment, the Black-Robed cultivator said: "Wang Lin? I've heard of you. Today's events are my bad luck, be on your way."
Wang Lin resumed his journey with his family, leading them to a vast grassland where numerous exotic creatures ran and played.
Happily pointing at the beasts, Wang Yiyi said: "Daddy, look at those little animals, they're so cute."
With a smile, Wang Lin explained: "Yiyi, those are no ordinary little animals; they likely possess tremendous power."
As they walked across the grassland, the sky suddenly grew dark. Looking up, Wang Lin saw a massive flock of avian beasts flying toward them.
The creatures were enormous, their flapping wings whipping up gales of fierce wind.
Wang Lin cautioned: "Everyone be careful, these avians might not be easy to deal with."
Wang Lin's mother said: "Tiezhu, let's fend them off together."
Unleashing their spiritual power, everyone prepared to meet the onslaught of the avian beasts.
A flock of fierce birds shrieked and plunged downward. Wang Lin took the lead, charging forward to engage the beasts in close combat.
Waving his hands crackling with spiritual power, he beat back the creatures one by one. Li Muwan stood nearby, casting spells to provide him with backup. Wang Lin's father and mother also unleashed their own unique skills to fend off the onslaught.
Farther back, Wang Yiyi waved her tiny hands and cheered, "Daddy, Granddad, Grandma, Mommy, you can do it!"
After a grueling battle, the flock was finally driven back. Wang Lin returned to his family, looking rather exhausted.
With a heart full of anguish for him, Li Muwan said, "Senior Brother, take a break."
Wang Lin shook his head. "I'm fine, Wan'er. We need to hurry and find a place to rest."
They searched the grassland and found a cave. Upon entering, they discovered some simple furnishings inside, as if someone had lived there before.
Wang Lin said, "It looks like people used to live here. Let's rest here for the night."
The family rested inside the cave while Wang Lin set up a defensive array at the entrance to keep other dangers at bay.
