Several bombs, carrying the breath of death, exploded with a earth-shattering roar the instant they hit the ground. The violent explosion bloomed like a giant flower of death within the courtyard, and the surging shockwave roared outward in a frenzy from the center of the blast. The unsuspecting people in the yard, who had not yet had time to react, were instantly swallowed by the deafening roar. The sound slammed against their eardrums like a heavy hammer, leaving them dizzy and disoriented. Those relatively close to the impact point were instantly torn to shreds by the violent force, flesh and blood flying everywhere, and shattered bones scattering like raindrops. Their once vibrant lives were reduced to dust in this cruel explosion. Those standing a little farther away did not escape their fate either; the powerful shockwave generated by the explosion acted like an invisible giant beast, violently knocking them to the ground. Their bodies fluttered helplessly in the fierce wind like fragile leaves before crashing heavily onto the ground with a muffled impact. For a time, the courtyard was filled with a chorus of agonizing screams that intertwined, chilling one to the bone. Inside the house, Goru had been sitting peacefully, immersed in his own thoughts. The sudden sound of the explosion struck like a thunderclap, startling him so that he sprang from his seat, his face turning pale in an instant.
