Just as the deputy commander anxiously led the others in pursuit of the direction where Xu Lin and his companion had vanished, a silent slaughter quietly unfolded on the rooftop. Thomas, Anna, Martin, and Mark—four figures hidden in the shadows of the rooftop—looked like ghosts, their sharp, falcon-like eyes already locked onto their respective targets. Their actions began like the cogs of a precision timepiece, methodical and orderly, as they embarked on this bloody "harvesting journey." Their targets were clearly defined, the result of a tacit understanding forged through long periods of cooperation.
