The group returned to their stronghold silently like ghosts. Xu Lin's gaze was sharp as lightning, sweeping swiftly across each of them with an expression mixed with concern and tension. When he confirmed that everyone else was safe and sound, the heart that had been hanging in his chest finally settled a little. However, when his eyes landed on Peter, a flash of violent fury instantly crossed his gaze, gathering as quickly as dark clouds before a storm. He felt that as an important member of the team, he had the responsibility to protect every single brother, yet Peter was now injured so severely that his heart was overwhelmed by remorse.
