The members of the Special Operations Team did not hesitate for a moment. Like a pack of leopards hunting in the dark, they moved with agility and speed, crawling out of the mountain hollow like phantoms. The darkness acted like a giant cloak, perfectly concealing their figures. Taking advantage of this natural cover, they sprinted toward the border line. Their speed was astonishing, as if they had wings on their feet, and their eyes burned with determination—a desperate yearning for freedom and survival. Shrouded by the darkness, they did not slow down, rushing straight toward the border like arrows released from a bow. At their pace, they would cross into safety in just over ten minutes. Yet shortly after, just as everyone was convinced they were about to cross the border unhindered, a sudden, urgent whinny pierced the air from behind. The sound was jarring in the silent night sky, resembling the death knell of the Grim Reaper. Immediately afterward, a volley of gunfire shattered the tranquility: "Bang! Bang! Bang!" The shots echoed through the valley, accompanied by faint, angry, and anxious shouts that rolled over the Special Operations Team like a surging tide. As it turned out, the patrol unit that had set off earlier had been hot on the heels of the horses the Special Operations Team had deliberately set free.
