These Buddha figures were all ancient Buddhists who walked out of this place long before the establishment of the Western Paradise of Ultimate Bliss.
They were the inheritors of the Supreme Teacher of Ten Thousand Buddhas. By passing down the Buddhist Dharma to later generations, they brought forth the Western Paradise of Ultimate Bliss and the Buddhist Sect of today.
Because of this, this place was called the Ancient Buddha Ten Thousand Holy Cliff.
