Long before the establishment of the Western Paradise of Ultimate Bliss, these Buddha figures were ancient enlightened ones who had walked forth from this very place.
They were the inheritors of the Primordial Master of All Buddhas, passing down the Dharma to future generations, which eventually gave rise to the Western Paradise of Ultimate Bliss and the Buddhist Sect of the present day.
Because of this, the place was known as the All-Saints Cliff of Ancient Buddhas.
