Thinking this, the assistant nodded and said, "Understood. I’ll let them know." An hour later, Gu Qing drove to her destination. It was an atmospheric French restaurant with an elegant, ornate interior that carried a touch of Western romanticism. As Gu Qing entered, a waiter stepped forward to guide her. They arrived at a private room. The waiter knocked, opened the door, and announced, "Mr. Lu, your guest has arrived." Only after Gu Qing stepped inside did the waiter quietly withdraw. Lu Jingyan sat in his wheelchair, watching Gu Qing approach. She wore a floor-length white dress, a camel-colored shawl draped over her shoulders, and her long hair flowed down her back like smooth satin. Her outfit wasn't haute couture or any famous brand, yet she stood out more than any of the socialites from noble families. Perhaps there is truth to the saying that at the end of the day, fashion comes down to one’s face, physique, and temperament. Possessing those three, anything one wears looks refined. She embodied these traits perfectly.
