Gu Qing walked down the stairs and headed straight through the hall. As she passed Gu Yunfei, he called out to her, "Qing'er." Gu Qing turned around, her expression impassive as she waited for him to continue. She knew perfectly well that Ye Zhixue had only been able to go upstairs to settle scores with her because she had Gu Yunfei’s tacit approval. Otherwise, given the commotion upstairs, he would not have been sitting there so calmly, turning a blind eye to everything. The thought brought a bitter irony to her heart.
