According to observations and on-site surveys, there are 1,758 stars within this system that show signs of life, with about 1,000 having developed civilizations that have surpassed Level One. These 1,000 stars, possessing Level One strength or higher, are the reason M77 is known as the Domain of Thousand Stars.
